2024 Care for the Carers Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the 2024 Annual General Meeting of Care for the Carers will be held at Ashburnham Place, Battle TN33 9NF on Tuesday 26th November 2024 from 1.30pm – 4pm.

The AGM Agenda will be as follows:

1.     Welcome and Introduction

2.     Review of 2023-24

3.     Presentation of Accounts 2023-24

4.     Resolutions.

i. Special Resolutions

Resolution 1:  That complimentary therapies for carers be reintroduced, providing recognition to carers; and that such opportunities receive adequate funding.

ii. Ordinary resolutions will include:

Resolution 2: That the minutes of the 2023 Annual General Meeting on 22nd November 2023 be adopted as a true record of the meeting.
Resolution 3: That Care for the Carers’ audited Report and Financial Statements for the year ended 31st March 2024 be received and adopted.
Resolution 4: That Kreston Reeves LLP be appointed as the Charity’s Auditors for the ensuing year and that they be paid for their services a sum to be determined by the Board.
Resolution 5: That Richard Pearson be formally appointed to the Board of Trustees for a second term.
Resolution 6: That Steven Toomey be formally appointed to the Board of Trustees.

Nominating a Proxy to vote on your behalf

As a voting Member of Care for the Carers, if you are unable to attend you can (but do not have to) appoint someone else to vote on your behalf. You can appoint anyone attending the meeting, for example a fellow Member, or alternatively Neil Churchill OBE, Care for the Carers’ Chair, or Jennifer Twist, Care for the Carers’ Chief Executive. This needs to be submitted in writing, so please complete this proxy form if you would like to nominate a Proxy to vote on your behalf.  Please return the form to governance@cftc.org.uk, or alternatively return by post to Care for the Carers at the address given on the form by 19th November 2024.
