This Carers Week,  9th – 15th June 2025, we are celebrating the amazing carers in East Sussex, thanking them for everything they do. Carers Week is also an important time to raise awareness of caring, and it highlights the challenges that unpaid carers face.

This year, Carers Week takes place from 9th -15th June. The week celebrates and recognises the vital contribution made by the UK’s 5.7 million unpaid carers – over 69,000 in East Sussex – who look after a relative, friend or neighbour who couldn’t manage without them.

Please visit the Carers Week 2025 page to find out more and download resources so will show your support for carers and importantly, help raise awareness.

This year’s focus is ‘Caring about Equality’, and we’re asking carers and the community to come together, to share views and take some time out throughout the week.

Carers and their friends and family, partner organisations and local businesses can all get involved to recognise and celebrate carers, show support, and work towards an equal society, where carers are truly valued, recognised and supported.
