Your views explored. Join the webinar
This year, family and friend carers are being given the opportunity to have their say at various carer engagement initiatives across Sussex. Unpaid, family and friend carers across Sussex were invited to take part in a series of discussion workshops in January 2021 facilitated by The Sussex Carers Partnership – The Carers Centre Brighton and Hove in conjunction with Care for the Carers (East Sussex) and Carers Support West Sussex – so that carers could share their experiences of health and care during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hear about carers’ views and recommendations
We had a great response from carers who joined the focus groups in January 2021, and we are presenting and discussing these findings and recommendations, and giving carers the opportunity to put questions directly to decision makers in health, at an online webinar on 24th March 2021, 2pm – 4pm.
Carers can book a place to attend this webinar, which will be hosted online using Zoom, and there is the option to join by dial-in (a Freefone number will be provided). You can book your space here.

In autumn 2020, the Sussex Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) commissioned a number of Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations to undertake a programme of engagement work with some of our communities who suffer the greatest health inequalities and challenges in accessing health and care at the best of times. The CCGs have funded The Carers Centre Brighton and Hove to lead a project, in conjunction with Care for the Carers (East Sussex) and Carers Support West Sussex, (also known as the Sussex Carers Partnership) to elicit the experiences of carers across Sussex in relation to health and care during the COVID-19 pandemic.
