This year, Carers Week takes place from 8th -14th June. The week celebrates and recognises the vital contribution made by the UK’s unpaid carers – 1 in 10 people in East Sussex – who look after a relative, friend or neighbour who couldn’t manage without them.

‘Building Carer Friendly Communities’ is this year’s Carers Week theme. This theme focusses on the benefits that carer-friendly spaces, organisations and businesses can have by helping to identify and support carers.
Carers and their friends and family, local organisations and businesses can all get involved to recognise and celebrate carers, show support, and work towards an equal society, where carers are truly valued, recognised and supported.
