We are deeply saddened by the news of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
Before she became Queen, she said: ‘I declare before you all that my whole life, whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service.’ She went on to become Britain’s longest reigning monarch, staying more than true to her word.
We will fondly remember Her Majesty for the grace and kindness she showed others. Our partners, Carers Trust, have shared how important Her Majesty’s support and recognition were to carers. When she met with carers online during the pandemic, alongside her daughter, HRH The Princess Royal, President of the charity, her kind and encouraging words were a great comfort at a hugely difficult time.
We would like to send our deepest condolences to the Royal Family. We are mindful that this is a momentous event for our country. Her Majesty has been such an inspiration for us, and for many carers, and we will miss her greatly.
