Make a difference Build a Carer Friendly Community Help Build a Carer Friendly Community Attend Carer Awareness Training As part of our Building a Carer Friendly Community initiative, we provide a programme of free Carer Awareness Training for professionals working either in a business or an organisation within East Sussex; health and people who are supporting carers, or want to support carers, in their neighbourhood or local community. The training covers topics such as why a Carer Friendly Community approach is important, who are unpaid carers and what is the impact of caring and the importance of identifying and supporting carers. The next training session will take place on Monday, 18th September at Diplocks Hall, Hailsham, and you can book your place here. Sign up to as a business to the East Sussex Carers Card If you are a business and you would like to support unpaid carers in your community, why not sign-up, for free, to the East Sussex Carers Card. The Carers Card provides offers or discounts, such as 10% off or a free cup of tea, to unpaid carers who have the card. In turn, your business will be promoted through the Carers Card directory, our CareLine Magazine - which has a print circulation of 10,000, and our social media channels.
