Carers Week is an annual awareness campaign which takes place in June to celebrate and recognise the vital contribution made by the UK’s 6.5 million unpaid carers – people who look after a relative, friend or neighbour who couldn’t manage without them.

For 2018, Carers Week is 11-17 June.

Each year, Care for the Carers, together with its partners, hosts a range of events around the county to celebrate Carers Week and recognised the vital contribution that carers in East Sussex make to their families and communities.

We've put together a resources pack for you to use to help plan your event, including poster and press release templates, fundraising ideas, Gift Aid forms, logos and more.

If you're organising an event don't forget to tell us all about it, so we can share your event with our supporters across East Sussex.

The annual theme for Carers Week 2018 is Supporting carers to be Healthy and Connected. With a focus on helping to build communities which support carers to look after their loved ones well, while recognising that they are individuals with health and wellbeing needs of their own.
