The Time to Shine Project is very excited to be working with Young Adult Carers in collaboration with Care for the Carers with a brand new music project starting in May.

Micky Grant from The Time to Shine Project tells us more:

The Time to Shine Project creates fun, inclusive and motivating musical projects that are designed to inspire, build confidence and bring laughter and music to people in East Sussex.

With our fantastic group of Young Adult Carers (YACs) we will be learning to sing as a choir, developing songs and singing skills, as well as writing our own song and producing a professional music video to spread the word about YACs and Care for the Carers…watch this space!

This is a chance for YACs (16-25 yrs) to work with highly experienced musicians, singers, recording engineers and filmmakers in a project led and inspired by all those participating.

The project will run for about 6 months, culminating in a small, intimate performance for friends and family, along with the premiere showcasing of the music video.

If you are interested in getting involved or hearing more about the project please get in touch with Rachel Hesterbanks, Senior Team Leader and Young Adult Carers Project Lead at Care for the Carers: 01323 738390 or email rachelh@cftc.org.uk
