Care for the Carers is the Carers' Centre for East Sussex, affiliated to the Princess Royal Trust for Carers' national network of Carers' Centres.

We exist to support and empower carers in East Sussex by maintaining an interrelated package of projects and services that are values-led and have been developed to meet the expressed needs of East Sussex carers. Services also reflect National legislation, research and best practice from among others: PRTC, the Kings Fund, Carers UK, Central and Local Government, and particularly the policy direction outlined in 'Our Health, Our Care, Our Say' and 'Putting People First'.
Our Organisational Aims:
Care for the Carers meets the needs of carers in a variety of ways depending on their preferences, the difficulties they may be facing and the level of care they are providing. We expect to be working in partnership with statutory colleagues to meet the needs of carers who provide regular and substantial care and we work with a range of voluntary sector colleagues and the statutory agencies that have a responsibility for carers, such as Social Care, Health and Education.
